Who Takes This Course?
Two kinds of students take this course: those who
love to problem solve and those who are afraid of
problem solving. Both feel the need for improvement
but in different ways. For those who love to
problem solve, there is typically something that
holds them back and frustrates them. They know they
can be better, but how? The course promotes
self-analysis so that these students can find their
blocks. For those who are afraid, the course
provides a path that leads to greater and greater
confidence. For all students, the course promotes a
recognition of the problem solving process and
helps them to become their own problem solving
teacher. By thinking about problem solving per se,
one becomes a better problem solver in
general.
