NSF TUES Study
The National Science Foundation has awarded me a
grant (DUE-0942277) under what is now the TUES
program (Transforming Undergraduate Education in
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics)) to develop an online social
networking environment to support scientific
problem solving and the development of lifelong
problem solving skills.
A mock-up of the Gamesworth ThinkSpace appears below. The idea is that students will enter all of their problem solving efforts into a structured template. The structure encourages good mental process and coordinates students efforts across time and space. Once a student has made an entry at a particular stage of a problem's solution, they have the option of seeing what others have entered up to the same stage.
